Karachi Pakistan Stock Exchange attack revealed to be a pre-threat. Talking on a private TV channel in this regard, Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon said that we had received threats regarding the attack due to which security was also beefed up while the attackers had support from Karachi.
He further added that there was no possibility of any single organization or group being involved in the attack, adding that the mastermind of the attack on Chinese forces and PSX seemed to be the same.
He added that there was no one on backup with the attackers at the time of the attack, and that an investigation into the weapons and ammunition found by the attackers was ongoing.
It may be recalled that the terrorist attack on Pakistan Stock Exchange was foiled yesterday. Four terrorists were killed in an exchange of fire between police and terrorists. According to a statement issued by the spokesman of Karachi police on Monday, Shahid, a sub-inspector of Karachi police, who was on duty at the entrance, was shot dead by terrorists while three policemen were injured.
The timely action of the police against the attacking terrorists saved all the staff and the building at the Pakistan Stock Exchange from catastrophe. The spokesman added that four security guards and a civilian were also martyred in the firing and grenade attack by the attacking terrorists. All the terrorists were also killed in the retaliation. Police also seized modern weapons, hand grenades, ammunition and other items from the terrorists.
However, the attack, which was celebrated all over Pakistan, was foiled as the police took timely action and killed all the terrorists in just 8 minutes.
But now Additional IG Karachi Ghulam Nabi Memon has said that we had received threats regarding the attack due to which security was also increased while the attackers had support from Karachi.
