Prime Minister Imran Khan's use of the word "martyr" for Osama bin Laden has drawn strong reactions on social media.

Prime Minister Imran Khan's use of the word "martyr" for Osama bin Laden has drawn strong reactions on social media:-

A few years ago, Prime Minister Imran Khan, as the Leader of the Opposition, in an interview with NDTV, an Indian television channel, quoted Osama bin Laden, the founding head of the extremist organization al-Qaeda, as saying: The manner in which he was killed has made him a martyr in the eyes of a few.

However, many years after this interview, on Thursday, as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan, in his address to the lower house of Parliament, mentioned the death of Osama bin Laden and said something that has made Osama bin Laden a trend in Pakistan and sparked a debate. Has gone

The Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan, while talking on many topics, began to lose sight of when Pakistan had to be embarrassed at the international level and he said, "This is an incident that embarrassed Pakistanis. They came to Abbottabad and killed Osama bin Laden and martyred him. Then the whole world abused us. He said bad things to us. That is, our ally is coming to our country and taking action and not telling us. Seventy thousand of our Pakistanis had died by that time in this war.
It was too late for Imran Khan to use the word 'martyr' to refer to the death of Osama bin Laden, the head of the extremist organization Al Qaeda and at one time the most wanted figure in the world. It has even gone viral abroad.

Osama bin Laden killed, martyred:-

Imran Khan said this while commenting on the foreign policy of his government. While he described the current government's foreign policy as "the most successful", he spoke of his relationship with the United States and that of previous governments.

"We support the United States in its fight against terrorism," he said. The humiliation that Pakistan had to endure because of this. I don't think any country has sided with the United States in this war and the United States has cursed that country. If they do not succeed in Afghanistan, then Pakistan is also responsible for it.

The Prime Minister said, “This is an incident that has embarrassed Pakistanis. They came to Abbottabad and killed Osama bin Laden and martyred him. Then the whole world abused us. He said bad things to us. That is, our ally is coming to our country and taking action and not telling us. Seventy thousand of our Pakistanis had died by that time in this war.

He said that Pakistanis all over the world had to endure humiliation because of this incident.

It may be recalled that in 2011, US forces killed Osama bin Laden in an operation in the Pakistani city of Abbottabad.

Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the second embarrassment as a nation was the US drone strikes in Pakistan. Imran Khan said that the previous governments used to say that they did not know but then the US officials said that all these attacks were being carried out with the permission of the government of Pakistan. US officials said they did not know why the Pakistani government was lying to its people.

He said that his government had adopted the policy that we would not take part in any war but would help in peace talks. "Today, no one tells us that Pakistan is cheating," he said. Our relationship is now such that no one is humiliating us but we are being asked to help us on the issue of Afghanistan.

 Osama bin Laden's trend:-

It was too late for Prime Minister Imran Khan to use the word "martyr" for bin Laden, and users on the social networking site Twitter began to express their views. And this was seen not only in Pakistan but also in India. The top two trends on Twitter in Pakistan are running in this regard.

Journalist Amber Rahim Shamsi while sharing the clip of Imran Khan's interview given to Indian channel wrote that “Imran Khan has always been careful not to call Osama bin Laden a direct martyr. Here (in the clip) he says that 'a section of society' thinks he (Osama is a martyr). He explained this filter in the National Assembly today.

Imran Khan's ex-wife Reham Khan also expressed her opinion on the matter, saying that "Oxford graduate Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has declared Osama bin Laden a 'martyr'."

Journalist Asad Ali Toor wrote, “Prime Minister Imran Khan is also the Chief Executive of Pakistan and if he says anything on the floor of the Assembly, it is considered a policy statement. Can we say that the government of Pakistan has officially declared Osama bin Laden, a person declared a terrorist by the United Nations, a martyr at the official level?
Indian user Rohit Jaswal said, "If Imran Khan has used the word 'martyr' for Osama bin Laden, why are people wondering about it." There are politicians in India who call Osama bin Laden 'Osama Ji'. How many of you remember that? Joking aside, calling Osama a martyr is an insult to those who lost their lives in the 9/11 attacks.

"A man who killed more than 70,000 Pakistanis is being called a 'martyr' by our Prime Minister," wrote a user named Atif Zia in the wake of Pakistan's war on extremism. What a shame. I was saddened to hear that the killer of Pakistanis has become a martyr.

Journalist Mubashir Zaidi said that "70,000 Pakistanis were killed but Osama bin Laden was martyred."

Ahmed Waleed expressed his opinion in the following words

However, there are many users who seem to support Imran Khan's statement.

Journalist Ansar Abbasi wrote that "Prime Minister Imran Khan called Osama bin Laden a martyr who is the spokesman of a large section of Muslims."

On this tweet of Ansar Abbasi, a user named MS Goraya wrote that "I agree, he is a martyr because he was killed without trial, without proving the allegations, without giving a chance to clean up, so he is a martyr ..."

A user named Nafees Ahmed said that a leader is a leader. Standing in the National Assembly, Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that it was a shame for us that the United States entered Pakistan and martyred Osama bin Laden. To this day, neither the media nor any Muslim leader has the courage to call the great Muslim mujahid leader Osama bin Laden a martyr.
